Nikki and Charlie entertain the poorly children at Portsmouth and Southampton hospitals

Nikki and Charlie regularly work for the children's charity POD They visit poorly children in both Southampton General and Portsmouth Queen Alexandra Hospitals. They entertain the children with magic and balloon twisting and there's always lots of laughter. It's so lovely to see the smile on the children's faces as they take their mind off things for a little while. This week they were chaperoned by a volunteer called Sue who after seeing them entertain the children she wrote these lovely words below...

I am a primary teacher with 30 years experience and have just had the pleasure of accompanying Charlie and Nikki whilst they entertained children of mixed ages around the wards. From 5 to 15-year-olds. their faces were a picture as they watched with amazement as tricks were delivered and character balloons were made. Whatever the age, they were entertained at their level and were left smiling and laughing.

A pleasure to have witnessed.
